Chris Rock Accused Of Stealing Joke From Aziz Ansari

Though its not the first time comedians have compared performing comedy to music, according to Vibe Magazine Chris might have some explaining to do after his recent visit to The Daily Show concerning a joke on the matter told by comedian Aziz Ansari. Thoughts?

We’ve heard of people “borrowing” beats, verses, or full songs in the rap game, but it’s looks like the struggle is just as prevalent in the stand-up comedy world as well. Debates are up in air concerning a Sting joke, and whether or not legendary comedian Chris Rock spun it in his own words from current funnyman Aziz Ansari. On July 11th, Aziz did a live interview with Sirius radio, cracking about the struggles for comedians to consistently come with fresh material, while singers—like Sting—can continuously play their old hits, like “Every Breath You Take.” On Aug 9th, Chris Rock did a similar interview with The Daily Show. While he did change the Sting song from “Every Breath You Take” to “Roxanne,” people are debating whether Rock’s joke was a complete rip of Ansari’s, and why someone in his position would feel the need to take from someone with a substantially younger career.

sounds like they share the same interest in STING. the concept is is just a widely familiar concept. I’m sure Aziz Ansari didnt make this claim cause…and if Aziz is actually claiming that as a bit he’s working on then he may wanna hit the thought a lil harder.

I have heard this joke about 10 different times or more from 10 different comedians… Sting has been used hip hop artist have been used… This joke has been around for a while and it is a truth of one of the differences between music and comedy… cedric, earthquake, aziz, chris, and like ten other comedians have used this similar joke either in interviews or on stage… it is not unique to aziz ansari’s set… it is a universal truth or joke about comedy…

Why is it that if two people, in two different places come to the same/similar conclusion in any other area of life its called the truth

but If two people, in two different places come to the same or similar joke than one person had to of stolen it from the other

Alot of jokes have been done already, Just like alot of wise ish has been said/discovered already

    Carpe dium = Drake’s YOLO

When I first started writing jokes, I wrote some bits on the pooping experience, than I heard about Richard Pryor, ran into one of his performances done years before I was even born, and he was performing jokes similar to what I had written.

Did I steal from him, Did he steal from me…

The same way people from different parts of the world reach the same conclusions when there universal truths

Thats the same way people in different parts of the world realize the same thing is worthy of a laugh, cuz the shitz funny.

I’m not saying people don’t steal others jokes but…
